How far is The Heritage Club from the airport?

We are approximately a 15-minute drive from Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM).

Do I need to rent a car?

Not necessarily. However, a car is recommended if you want to easily access grocery stores, restaurants, explore the island, or enjoy attractions beyond Seven Mile Beach.

Taxis are an alternative to having a rental car and easy to call when needed. Additionally, a local public bus stop is right outside the property that runs up and down Seven Mile for CI$2 each way. All routes run to and from the bus depot in central George Town, where passengers can access any of the nine bus routes that run throughout the island.

Where can I rent a car?

We recommend renting a car at the airport on arrival from any of the available agencies – including major rental names such as Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, and National as well as locally run agencies such as Andy's and Marshall's. Some have additional locations on Seven Mile Beach.

How much does a taxi cost from the airport?

Taxi fares from the airport typically start around US$40, depending on the number of passengers and luggage. A taxi dispatch booth is located outside the arrival lounge.

Is there public transportation?

Yes, public buses operate along Seven Mile Beach between West Bay and George Town and stop right at The Heritage Club. Cost is approximately CI$2 per person for a one-way trip.

What restaurants and shops are nearby?

You'll find everything from fine dining to casual eateries within walking distance or a short drive. Kimpton Seafire and Hotel Indigo restaurants are a 10-minute beach walk. Cayman Islands Yacht Club is across the highway (a short 3-minute drive) with waterfront restaurants such as Morgans and Bacarro. The Grove is a short drive (just past Public Beach) with restaurants like Mykonos, Island Naturals, and cocktail bar Door No 4. Heritage Kitchen is a 5-minute drive into West Bay. There are plenty more options in either direction – heading further into West Bay to Macabucca or Calypso Grill, or down Seven Mile for a variety of options.

What about restaurant delivery options?

Yes, several restaurant delivery services operate on the island including Let's Eat and Bento.

What grocery stores are nearby?

Several grocery stores are a short drive away including Fosters (West Bay and Camana Bay locations), Kirks Supermarket, and Hurley's. All offer delivery services.

Can I arrange for pre-arrival grocery delivery?

Yes, Fosters, Kirks and Hurley's Supermarket offer grocery delivery services. Please ensure the delivery falls within office hours while your unit is available (not occupied by another guest), and notify the property manager of any deliveries scheduled for your unit.

Can I arrange for pre-arrival liquor delivery?

Yes, Blackbeard's, Jacques Scott, and Tortuga offer delivery services. Please ensure the delivery falls within office hours while your unit is available (not occupied by another guest), and notify the property manager of any deliveries scheduled for your unit.

Is there a hospital or medical care nearby?

There are several nearby hospitals including George Town Hospital and Health City Cayman Bay, both offering emergency and urgent care services 24/7. Smaller urgent care facilities such as Total Health are also available.

What is the best time of year to visit Grand Cayman?

Grand Cayman offers beautiful weather year-round, but the peak travel season is from December to April when the island enjoys cooler, drier days. For a quieter experience, consider visiting during the summer months.

What currency is used in the Cayman Islands?

The Cayman Islands Dollar is the local currency and can be easily drawn from local ATMs. Establishments will also accept US Dollars but change will be given in CI$. The exchange rate is fixed at US$1.00 = CI$0.80.

What time zone does Cayman fall under?

The Cayman Islands has only one time zone, which is Eastern Standard Time (EST), and does not observe daylight saving.

What should I know about Sundays in Cayman?

Most grocery stores and many businesses are closed on Sundays. Plan accordingly or arrange for pre-arrival delivery if arriving on a Sunday.

Is Grand Cayman safe?

Yes, the Cayman Islands boasts one of the lowest crime rates in the Caribbean, giving visitors invaluable peace of mind.

What is the minimum stay requirement?

A 5-night minimum stay is required. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's reservations require a 7-night minimum, or 10 nights if your stay includes both Christmas and New Year's.

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits are refundable less a $200 processing fee if canceled within the required notice period. See our Rates & Policies page for full details.

Should I purchase travel insurance?

Yes, we strongly encourage all guests to purchase comprehensive trip cancellation and interruption insurance.

How do I book?

The best way to inquire about specific dates, unit availability and rates is to visit Our Condos page and request a quote. This will initiate the process with the property manager and help facilitate a quick booking. Alternatively, send an email to heritage@candw.ky. Early booking is recommended, especially during peak seasons.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is after 3:00 p.m. and check-out is by 11:00 a.m. Late checkout may be available upon request.

What if my flight arrives earlier than check-in time?

We'll do our best to have your condo ready for early arrival when possible. If not available, you're welcome to use common areas while we prepare your unit.

What if my flight departs later than checkout time?

Late checkout may be available depending on incoming reservations. Please contact the property manager to inquire.

How much time should I allow to get to the airport for departure?

Allow 2.5 - 3 hours prior to your flight departure time for check-in, security, and immigration procedures. Travel time to the airport is approximately 15 minutes.

Are beach towels provided?

Yes, beach towels are provided in each unit and exchanged as part of daily housekeeping.

Are linens and bath towels provided?

Yes, the unit will be fully stocked with linens, sheets, blankets, and bath towels.

When is housekeeping provided?

Daily housekeeping is provided except Sundays and Cayman public holidays.

Is there a washer and dryer in the unit?

Yes, there is a washer and dryer in each unit, and we provide laundry pods.

Are hair dryers provided?

Yes, one in each bathroom.

What toiletries are provided?

Bath soap is provided, but not shampoo or conditioner.

Is the kitchen fully equipped?

Yes, the kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishes, utensils, and full-size appliances including stove, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, and microwave.

Is there Wi-Fi and cable TV?

Yes, there is free high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the unit and HD cable TV in the living room and each bedroom.

Is there a phone in the unit?

Yes, each unit has a phone. Local calls are free, but international calls and calls to local cell phones are restricted.

Will my cell phone work in Grand Cayman?

Most likely, provided your service includes international roaming. Contact your provider before traveling to confirm rates and coverage.

Is there a safe in the unit?

Yes, there is a safe in each unit for your valuables.

Is there an iron and ironing board?

Yes, located in the unit closet.

Is there parking available?

Yes, there is free on-site parking with one spot per unit.

Are there BBQ grills available?

Yes, a poolside grill and dining tables are available for guest use.

Is there an elevator?

No, the property does not have an elevator.

Are there beach umbrellas and shade?

Yes, beach loungers and umbrellas are provided. Natural shade is also available from trees and thatched cabanas.

Is smoking permitted?

Smoking is not permitted inside the condo units. Smoking is allowed outside away from public areas.

What activities are available nearby?

From snorkeling and scuba diving to paddleboarding and sunset cruises, Seven Mile Beach offers an array of water-based activities. Guests can also explore nearby attractions such as Stingray City, the Cayman Turtle Centre, and George Town's historic and shopping district.

Where is good snorkeling nearby?

Snorkeling is excellent right off Seven Mile Beach. World-class snorkeling and diving sites are just minutes away.

Are there dive operators or water sports rentals nearby?

Yes, several dive operators and water sports rental companies operate on Seven Mile Beach. The property manager can provide recommendations.

Where can I play golf or tennis?

For golf, North Sound Club and the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club are nearby options.

For tennis, the Cayman Pickleball & Tennis Academy is just up the road from The Heritage Club. Cayman Tennis Club is another option on the island.

Is there a gym or fitness center?

While there is no gym on property, there are several nearby fitness centers that offer day passes including Anytime Fitness at Camana Bay, World Gym, The Rec Room, and Karv, as well as yoga and pilates studios.

Are there spas nearby?

Yes, several day spas and full-service spas are within walking distance or a short drive, including The Spa at Seafire, Hibiscus Spa at The Westin, and La Prairie Spa at The Ritz-Carlton. Mobile spa services such as Anytime Wellness can also come directly to your condo.

Is there a movie theater nearby?

Yes, Camana Bay is an outdoor mall with a movie theater and is just a short drive away.

Is there concierge service available?

The Heritage Club does not offer concierge services. Our on-site property manager is available during office hours (Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm EST) to answer questions about the property and provide recommendations about the island. If you're looking for assistance with dinner reservations, activity bookings, or transportation arrangements, there are concierge services you can contact such as Master Key Cayman.

Is there an additional charge for cribs or pack n' plays?

No, cribs and pack n' plays are available at no additional charge upon request. Please request at the time of booking or prior to arrival.

Are there rental services for baby equipment?

Yes, companies like Tourin' Tots offer full-size cribs, strollers, high chairs, and other baby equipment with delivery and pickup.

Are babysitting services available?

Yes, several licensed service providers are available on the island. We can provide recommendations upon request.

What activities are good for kids?

Children will enjoy the beach and pool, plus nearby attractions like the Cayman Islands Turtle Centre, ATV Cayman, Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park, the Cayman Parrot Sanctuary, and various water sports.

Can I host a special event at The Heritage Club?

Any special event or group gathering requires written consent and approval from Heritage Club management prior to booking. Do not make plans or commitments without explicit discussion and approval from management first. Please contact the manager before booking if you are traveling as part of a larger group or wish to host any type of event on the property.

Can I order flowers, gift baskets, or cakes for delivery?

Yes, several local companies deliver to the property including Celebrations (flowers and gift baskets), Treats (cakes and pastries), and Jacques Scott (specialty baskets and beverages).

Are pets allowed?

No pets are allowed on the property. Please note that we are unable to accommodate service animals.

Should I tip the housekeeping staff?

Tipping is not required as a service gratuity is included in your reservation. However, if you'd like to recognize exceptional service, staff will appreciate your gesture.

What should I do if something needs repair during my stay?

Notify the property manager immediately of any maintenance items that arise during your stay.
